I want to generate a song catalog with disc name column. I tried %disc% but that doesn't work. What is the input for that?

Also, is there a way to convert the file name into a more standard font that can work with the search function in Tkaraoke? The reason I'm asking this is because the search function in Tkaraoke sometimes cannot find a certain songs due to some weird Viet fonts posted in this forum. I think a lot of us go to this forum to look for the song names to rename our ripped songs using TKT tools. However, some of those song names are not search-able by Tkaraoke. Example would be PNB Karaoke 39 and PBN Karaoke 40 (and many more that I cannot remember on top of my head). If you search for any song names from those DVDs, it will not return any results (you might get some results from other discs but not from those discs).

Thanks.

This is probably due to the song listing is not written in true Unicode. There are many ways to type the Vietnamese accent marks. The state-of-the art way of doing it is using unicode. Sometimes, the old way of doing it was still used (probably from copy and paste from a very old page). TKaraoke can search into true Vietnamese (for example, search "chuyen tinh" will match "Chuyện Tình" as well) but only if the typing is in Unicode. In most cases, the Human eyes can't tell Unicode typing from non-unicode typing. However, you can copy the song listing and paste it into this page and click on Convert. It will report if the listing is in true Unicode or not. If it report problems with the listing, you can look at the right text box and see which section of the listing has problems. What appear on the right should be the listing without any accent. So if you see any accent mark on any word, that word must be re-typed using the Vietnamese keyboard on this forum (or any modern forum).

So to solve this search problem, you will need to retype the listing (usually, you won't have to retype the whole listing). Then you can use TKT to rename your songs again. Don't forget to make a reply and share your fixed listing. Any fixed line should be colored in red so the reader can quickly spot out what has changed. See an example of the fixed listing here.

Nỗi buồn vương vấn đâu đây
Đưa ta vào chốn lưu đày thế giang
