Rank: Administration Reputation: Exalted Groups: Administrators Joined: 2/18/2010(UTC) Posts: 9,831 Location: California, USA Thanks: 1404 times Was thanked: 13404 time(s) in 1948 post(s)		Starting with v1.5.045, there is a new tab under the Sound Effects Preferences called "Sound Card Setup" that helps making the initial setup to use VST Effects easier. It also can reset your computer sound settings to the correct setting in case you accidentally changed the sound settings. After installing VAC, PitchWorks, and Reaper, go to Options-->Audio-->Sound Effects and click on the "Sound Card Setup" tab. Then do the following 5 steps. That is it, these 5 steps will configure everything for you . play 00:00 00:00 full screen restore screen repeat repeat off replay play pause mute unmute max volume Sound Efffects Setup Update RequiredTo play the media you will need to either update your browser to a recent version or update your Flash plugin. Other useful tools on that tab: Sometimes Reaper bugged out and resets it routing info. This will cause your PC to mute as the routing is incorrect. Use the "Reset Windows and Reaper to the above settings" options to force Reaper to use the correct routing. Also, you can decide to change the default Playback Device to your sound card when not singing (i.e. by-passing all VST Effects when playing mp3 or browse the web). When you start TKaraoke to sing, TKaraoke can automatically change the default Playback Device back to "VAC" for you so your music will go through the VST Effects when you sing.
