Starting with the build 048, TKT will have a tab called "Duplicate Detector". We developed this detector tool to use in-house to filter out duplicate songs. TKSNS is fully supported so if songs were supposed to be duplicated but were not detected, make sure you have the correct tksns file(s). A song is a duplicate if it matches both the NAME and SINGER NAME, extension and album name don't matter. Vietnamese accent characters supported - for example
Toi Dua Em Ve - Hoai Nam.vob will be duplicated with
Tôi Đưa Em Về - Hoài Nam - Thúy Nga.mkv.
The use case is as follow:
1. You have your collection on, say D:\Karaoke\
2. Someone gave you a bunch of new songs and you put on D:\New Songs\
3. You want to know how many of the new songs you can copy w/o introducing duplicate copies
For the above sample use case, in TKT, go to the Duplicate Detector tab:
1. Select Folder 1 as D:\New Songs\
2. Select Folder 2 as D:\Karaoke\
3. Click on Detect Duplicate Songs. The duplicate songs found will be shown. Rest the mouse pointer over each song to see which songs (could be more than 1) in Folder 2 it was duplicated with.
4. To remove the duplicate songs from Folder 1, select them (Ctrl+A to select all) and right-click and select Move To and pick the folder to move these duplicated songs to.
Always move to a folder in the same hard drive as Folder 1 to move the songs instantly (you can delete them later or copy to another hard drive using Windows Explorer outside of TKT)
