As you might have known, major companies like Thuy Nga & Asia doesn't come up w/ new Karaoke Disc anymore. To get new songs, we typically have to buy the beat and make our own karaoke. Some of the members have floated the idea of an "underground membership" to help share the cost.
I would like to keep these principles in mind:
1. No abusive logo, if there is any logo, it would be a few second intro and a few second in the middle of the middle while the karaoke text is not running
2. Use music video as the background when possible, use highest quality source such as BD-50 rip
A typical karaoke file costs $10 to $15 to buy the beat, about $2-$3 to run the karaoke text and render. So let's say on average $15/song. On a club with 15 members, each would be paying $1. On a 1500 members club, each would be paying only 1 cent per song.
The new songs rate is about 500 songs/month (see them as sites like karaokebeat). Assuming we do all these songs, a 15-member club would cost everyone $750/month! On a 1500-member club, the cost goes down to $7.5/month.
Ideas and suggestions are welcome. If reasonable, it will happen.
Here are a few demo songs that I rendered without any logo. A demo of a 4K song will be available shortly.
