I used a separate mibox for karaoke but would like to move it to the 2019 Pro Shield for the 4K upscaling and simplify the process.
I want to see if there is a good solution to connect audio to the Behringer XR12.
There is a HDMI converter box that some people suggested but I do worry that the video quality would get distored by the HDMI conversion.
I also see that you can connect USB port from Shield to a Behringer but only to version X32. Mine is X12 and not sure if it would work.

Only the x18 and up has usb audio. The HDMI audio extractor should convert fine, it's just a DAC so it's $10-$20 range. Does it degrade the audio quality? Probably but I don't think it's noticeable.
