Is the KSM8 mainly for male or female? I think the KSM9 is mainly for female vocalists.

KSM8 = Dualdyne Cardioid, good for both Male & Female (JMHO).
KSM9 = Condenser, I think male's voice should get more benefit from clarity standpoint.

Finally updated my setup. Only have room for 1 Mic with the vocal EQ and Compressor daisy-chained together. Great for tweaking with large knobs.

Hi Mofat ,
Please help me a question :
Klark EQP-KT is good and helpful for recording vocal or music ? I'm using Klark DN-405 ( connect : micro to mic preamp to Kalrk 405 to mixer ) but it's despair ! The sound is cold and monotonous !
Is it the vocal is warmer and we can change many style of voice ?
Klark EQP Fet and tube is difference?
Thank you so so much .

On the livingroom karaoke (pic) I connect the EQ-->Compressor via the Insert jack of my mixer. The compressor is great and helpful. Has a warmth sound. The EQP only adds different tone. I have extra EQ laying around and just wanted to try it out on a karaoke. Still have not found my sound yet but it's ok. Just easier to adjust with it's big knobs. It's good either studio or karaoke. For the price nowadays, it's an easy decision.

I don't do much karaoke myself, rather acoustic.
