It is depend on your preferences.. Most luxury cars will have the options you looking for. Built in navigation system is not something that you want to pay an extra $3k for, unless you also want front/rear camera. A Garmin unit for $150 can do similar or better job. For safety measure, you will not able to enter new destination while driving :) I have driven all of those, and like BMW best for its handling. A new BMW comes with 3 years maintenance so it is not too bad of a deal. Otherwise Lexus is a good value compared to a Benz. I am not a fan of Acura, perhaps Infinity is a better choice (much better handling). Have fun shopping.

New BMW can have rear camera w/o Navigation Unit. For CA, BMW gives 4 years or 50000 miles warranty and maintenance. For $2k more, you can get 100k miles maintenance - brake, oil change, and inspections are included.

Yes you are right.. 4 years service for BMW. The rear camera is good to have, unfortunately mine does not have 1. You may consider leasing instead of buying new. The cost of owning it for 3 years is more less the same except you get lower payment. Seem like you decided on the 5 series, good choice :)

I got this one for $46,610 before tax.

I can hook your brother up with similar price. If he can get it lower anywhere, I can beat that price.

It came with free real-time traffic monitoring service - very useful. The nagivation screen is big and very wide, very useful for split screen showing different info at once. My average MPG is about 28.5 with about 70% local streets (too many visits to Home Depot and Lowes) and 30% freeway.

looking for 535i xDrive.

Do you have connection or something? What was financing like? Why did you decide to purchase instead of leasing?

Any option or trim you want, take about $6k off the MSRP price. Financing through BMW gives you $1k rebate. You will have to keep it for at least 6 months. Their rate is 3.9% - not good so you will want to refinance after 6 months for about 1.9% standard rate now.

I don't buy a car to show off - I actually drive it. I'm putting about 15k to 20k a year on it so leasing is not an option.
