Hi,
I have tried to run TKT (TKT1.0.0.037)to convert VOB to MKV files but encountered errors due to "Unhandled exception", with a note "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". Details of the exception text as follows:

************* Exception Text **************
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at TKaraokeTools.ӓ.׋()
at TKaraokeTools.ӓ.׌(Object ֙, EventArgs ֚)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

Can anyone suggest a solution to this, much appreciated.
Regards,
Charlie

Are your input vob files ripped? Due to legal reasons, your vob files must have been ripped (extracted from the original DVD using software like DVDDescryptor or SmartRipper). After you use one of these software to rip out the VOB files, TKT can convert to MKV for you.

been ripping DVDs and then converting them to mkv. All was fine until I tried to rip one particular dvd (the best of minh tuyet if you must know [blush])
I always have AnyDVD on to remove region protection, but still it wouldn't rip the DVD. Long story short, I didn't want to flash the firmware of the DVD drive
so I just downloaded the ISO online, mount it, and proceeded to rip the ISO into individual vob files. That's when I got this error message.

It's not a big deal, I could keep use the vob files, but I'd rather have all my DVD rips in mkv.

Upload 1 vob file in that DVD rip and I'll take a look.

Here's the first song on that DVD. Thanks. Sorry I don't know how to hide links.

I must add that it shows the error at first when I choose the location of the vob files. It shows up again when I press convert.

PS: I run Windows 7 64 bit.

Ok. I just realized that maybe that first file is the problem.
Explorer says the file has a duration of 1s when it doesn't.
TKT don't give me that error when that first file is not in the folder.

I'll try to re-rip that file.

edit: ok I tried it with DVD Decrypter and SmartRipper. The file always comes out the same:"corrupt" I guess.
