Hi, I am a rookie here. I need help to set up software and hardware so I can record karaoke song using TKaraoke.

Assuming you already hooked up the components, go to Options-->Recording-->Recording Options and access the Control Panel and select your default recording device to be the sound card device that you hooked the "line-in" into. Then click on Options-->Recording-->Enable Recording to enable it. Next, play a song and after finish playing, check out the folder C:\TKaraokeRecords\ for the mp3.

Hello, I am new to tkaraoke and having problem getting sound from recording via a mixer with a usb connector. The mp3 files are in TkaraokeRecord folder but no sound. Any help?

You need to select that USB device as a "default recording device". See the page below for more info and screenshot:

Thank you very much for responding. I think something not allowing me to access the control for recording. The volume button and the advanced button are grayed out for recording. I have same problem with 2 different laptops (win XP) and my friend have the same problem and we could not figure it out. After googling the web, I tried the program audacity and it worked fine for playback and recording. Don't know what wrong. Thank you

Take a screenshot showing the grayed out and post it in your reply.
