Hi Thinhho,

How did you hook up your TKaraoke to your PA Sys? Desktop/Laptop audio out directly to PA Sys? Give me the connection Diagram (flow) then I might give you some hints to eliminate the noise issues.

I believed, when I first use Tkaraoke (2010) using my Sony VAIO Intel Core2 Duo with 2Gb Ram and connect directly to my PA System, I experienced similar problem. Sometime, before the song start, there are some loud warbling noise, but only happened sometime only, not all the time.

I don't want to go too much detail into the built in sound cards on some PC, but I do know that some of them picked up it's own noise from the running PC and feed them out to the sound card for some unknown reason.

To remedy the problem, I added an external USB sound card with new driver and application Software to control the external sound card. After that I was a very happy TKaraoke camper.

You will ask, what kind of USB sound card? Name? Price? I used Star Tech icusbaudio7d 7.1 usb2, price ranging from $37 - $50. But if you have some more bucks to spare then you can always buy a better one.

Plug it in, install the driver and apps.
Right click on the speaker icon on the bottom right corner of the screen, and
select usb sound card and select Set As Default then click Apply.
On the USB sound card, I only use Front output (1/8" to 1/4" or RCA adapter) connect to your PA Audio in/ Line In
then sit back, relax, and enjoy

Hi DJTV,
My connection is from laptop to LCD TV, from LCD TV audio out to pre amp,to mixer, mixer to DBX, then to power amp then to speakers.
noise happens before start song, and happens some songs(karaoke song from Viet nam)not every song. songs from PNB or ASIA do not have noise.
thanks

In this case it might be the different audio sampling rates from different region. Pay attention to your audio card when playing these songs or you can set the audio sampling rate to 16 bits 48000hz DVD quality to be on the safe side.

There was some post in this forum about old song converted from video tapes to digital files that's where you got the noise --- I suspect that the VN songs you mentioned are originated from video tapes.
[confused]
You have to use video editing software to cut off the unwanted audio portion to get rid of those noise

After I had hooked like the way ur set up, the noise is come from old tape or recording quality.
Compressor set up: from left to right per channel for main output.
THREDHOLD: set at 8 o'clock, u can see gain reduction lights all come on. If all lights r not come on then turn knob clockwise until all lights r on. (this knob is the one control the noise until music is come on)
RELEASE: set at 10 o'clock.
THRESHOLD: set at +10
Ratio: 1:1
ATTACK: set at 9 o'clock.
RELEASE: set at 10 o'clock.
OUTPUT GAIN: set at 10 o'clock.
LIMITER: set at +15
SC ENABLE: OFF
CONTOUR: ON
OVEREASY: ON (turn 2nd threshold knob + or - so the light above the knob is blink green or yellow, Not in red.)
AUTO: OFF (I rather leave this off so I can control the ATTACK AND RELEASE.)
BYPASS: OFF (If turn on this switch is will bypass all control knob.)
STEREO couple: OFF (If turn on this switch, use only input A channel and it will output both A and B.)

I use this set up for main output.
For Mic insert, set up is different.

I use AVS Video Editor.

Let me confess.
So far I have just edited home recording videos, movies, ect...
I haven't tried karaoke files yet but I don't think It would be an issue because that software has option for other file formats.
[confused]
Probably, I'll try to mess with mkv karaoke file this w/e.
