Lenovo Multimedia Remote




I've been using this remote for TK and it works very nice. Actually it's 3 devices in one..1)multimedia remote 2)full qwerty keyboard and 3)mouse/trackball ... and the whole thing fits in the palm of your hand. Now, you can not only enter the song # from the remote but also use the keyboard to enter search queries. Connects to your computer via USB nano dongle and has a range up to 10 meters.

Very nice one. How large is it? Smaller than your palm or bigger? $36 seems like a great deal given the bulky Microsoft remote is already at $40.

Overall height is about 4-4.5 inches, Width ~ 4", and the handle part is ~1.4" wide. Fits snuggly into your palm. I tried about 3 different MCE remotes and this is my favorite and cheapest (sale price).

Nice one - I may get one at the full price. Got burnt once at a bagain site with my credit card information being stolen [cursing] so I am skeptical with cheap-price sites.

Very nice. I didn't know such a thing exists. I was about to order the Lenovo after reading your post...when I run into another one with a mousepad (instead of trackball) and it's re-chargeable: EFO wireless keyboard

Any experience with this EFO?

I've no prior experience with the EFO but one major advantage it has over the Lenovo remote is that it has backlight. This comes handy in darker rooms but on the other hand the EFO does not have Media Center-specific buttons like Play, Stop, Rewind, etc.... (according to 1 Amazon reviewer). This could become a major disadvantage if you want to skip current song or re-play the current song from the beginning. Hopes this helps in your decision......
