Anybody has any luck with changing out different heads that works well? I ordered a shure ksm9 cartridge to replace my beta 87a for the Shure SLX system. Hopefully it plays well together. I read that the line 6 xd-75 can change out heads too but haven't tried it.

The RPW174 capsule worked well with my SLX system.
RPW is a very sensitive head might have to turn gain down a bit.
Expect good feeling from it.

Yes, both silver and black version. Been using them with the SLX & Sony DWZ-M70 set. Sony set has built-in EQ, but the thing interfere like crazy.

What wireless system you guys are using or recommending? Do you buy the same brand mic and UHF receiver set or you mix and match receiver and mics?

I have no idea where to start. I have wired SM58 mic already but want to add 2 more wireless mic.

Depends on how fancy you wanna go and how much you wanna spend. There are those that use 9v batteries which I hate cuz they tend to be more expensive to replace. I like those that use AA. Alot of people use gtd 622 with decent quality if you wanna go cheap. If you want switchable heads then go with the Shure SLX series. If you want cheaper Shure without switchable heads then go with their entry BLX series. If you want a plug-on unit so you can pop in any mic with xlr then get the Sennheiser skp but they tend to be awkward to hold and heavy. Probably skip this option.

For sure tones are clearer with the ksm9 than the classic sm58. Better clarity and less muddy (boomy).

What system/handset you put it on?
I'm sure the mic got more feeling to it. Better clarity allows you to finely tune it.

Better clarity means you better be a damn good singer. It's compatible with both my line 6 and Shure slx systems. I experienced alot of dropouts from the line6 system from the very beginning. Gonna have to update the firmware to see if it makes it better.
