Hi ACE,

Mình mới có chừng 20,000 songs trong 1 cái 4TB HD. Những bài hát nầy format cho Mplayer. Bắc đầu là folder 00 đến folder 55 mỗi folder có chừng
1000 bài hát.
The song list look like this: Bai Khong Ten Cuoi Cung, Ngoc Anh;1;Pbn 72;;12;5;BKTC;00002;;;5;0. Những bài nầy đọc được trong notepad.

Bây giờ mình muốn rename để dùng trong Tkaraoke Pro.

Cảm ơn ACE nhiều.

Next, in TKT, click on File --> Generate Song List From Songs on Hard Drive and pick one of the folders from that hard drive. Then paste the result in your reply.

It will be time consuming.
A while back I did a 5000 song conversion. Back then TKT didn't have the function Hai Lua referred to.

The very important thing is you have to get a copy of your current collect so that you can go back if things go wrong. (You need a back up for your collection anyway).

I set up 20 songs per folder to make it easy to verify after conversion. Too many songs would stress you brain out trying to keep track of which is which and you tend to make mistakes easily.

Just try one or two folder using TKT to find out if it is easy or difficult before fire up all 800 cylinders.
That's just my 2 cents.

I did this a while back when I copied a friend's Mplayer HD

Your songs on the HD should have a number which should match your song book, example:
HD: 1001
SB: 1001 Song Name Artist etc...

Easiest way is to import or open the song book in Excel (when you import, choose "deliminated" that way a column will be created for the #, Song Name, Artist, etc...

What I then do is create a new column and combine the Song Name and Artist together (you can delete the other columns)

Use this Excel function: =C1&" - "&D1

This will combine columns C1 and D1 together with a space and - between (see my upload example)

Once that is done, copy the entire new column and paste into TKTools rename tab

Make sure you choose VOB or MKV and the number of files are the same, then hit the rename button

Do each folder at a time (and make sure you have a backup copy in case the names get messed up)

Good luck!

This also works if you want to do mass renaming of files

Such as if you have some files with "artist - song title" and you want to rename to "song title - artist"

Move those files to a folder, then use the CMD window

Change to that folder with DOS change directory command

Type in "dir /b rename.txt" (the rename.txt can be any name) - this will create a text file of your songs

Import the .txt file in Excel, choose deliminated, use find and replace to delete .MKV or .VOB or whatever extensions

Then use the combine function from my previous post above (there's a filter function to delete extra spaces too)

Then copy to TKTools and rename
