Hi dnn69,

I don't use this mixer.

I am going to help and explain to you how the fx work on the mixer MG10Xu.

#1. The mixer has an black knob(fx selector) where you can select which fx you want to use.

#2. The white knob right below the fx selector knob, this knob allow how much fx you going to send out to all channel strips.

#3. Each channel strip has fx knob, you can adjust how much fx you want to send out from that channel strip.

#4. The white knob in the blue shade area(level FX RTN) this knob allow how much you want fx from all channel strips gona mixed in with music
channel and goes out mixer output.

Note: Whichever channel you are used for music channel, make sure the fx on that channel is turn to zero so no fx adding to the music channel.

All you need to understand #2 allow how much fx goes in each channel strip, #3 how much fx goes out from microphone channel, #4 how much fx goes in mixing.

Also learn to balancing vocal and music volume so both vocal and karaoke music are blend in together.
Mixer: Presonus StudioLive 16.4.2
Monitor Speaker: Roland Power Speaker DS90A
Headphone: PreSonus HD7
Microphone: Wireless mic eW100 G2(old mic)
